Rental Policies




A deposit equal to the estimated amount of the rental PLUS 15% USD will be charged to your credit card at time of rental. Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name as the primary driver. Unused funds will be refunded upon return. Refunds may take 2-5 days depending on processing bank. Driver must provide current proof of insurance showing driver as named insured.

Accepted Payment for Deposit:
Visa, Master Card, Discover or AMEX credit cards.
Renter and all additional drivers must show verifiable proof of current auto insurance in their own name.
NOTE – Cash is not accepted for deposit. Debit Card Deposit policy, see below.

Debit Card Deposits :
1. Debit Card must have a Visa, Master Card, or Discover logo.
2. Debit Card and Drivers License must be in same name.
3. Driver must provide current proof of FULL COVERAGE insurance showing driver name as insured.
4. Estimated amount of rental charges PLUS $200.00 will be charged at time of rental. Unused funds at end of rental will be returned through the same credit card processor. This may take up to 14 days depending on processing bank. The rental company will not be responsible for any returned checks or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

Payment upon return of vehicle:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards, Debit cards, prepaid Visa/MasterCard, and cash are always accepted as payment upon return.

Select Vehicle Qualification:
In order to qualify to rent a “select” vehicle, driver and all additional drivers must provide a major credit card with sufficient funds available AND proof of FULL COVERAGE insurance in their own name AND be 21 or older. “Select” vehicles include, but are not limited to: sports cars, convertibles, luxury cars, premium cars, and other high-end rental vehicles.


For airport shuttle, use airport courtesy phone board to call, or call us directly at 616-698-9595. The shuttle will arrive in minutes. Outside of normal business hours (8am-6pm Monday-Friday) call 616-466-8666.


Rental Collision Protection allows the renter to file a collision claim through a third party, possibly relieving the renter of the need to file a claim with their own insurance, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost varies per rental day depending on the vehicle type and duration of rental – the exact amount is available with your vehicle quote.  There is normally a $250 deductible associated with this coverage, but check with your rental agent for exact details.

Partial Damage Waiver relieves renter of financial responsibility for an insurance deductible up to $1,000.00, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost is $6.99 per rental day, $34.95 per rental week.

Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 18.

NOTE: Renters and drivers between the ages of 18 and 20 are subject to an underage charge of $50.00 per day. Renters and drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 are subject to an underage charge of $15.00 per day.

One way rentals are not available. All rental vehicles must be dropped off at the location from which they were originally rented. Renters are responsible for all charges incurred by the company related to getting the rental vehicle back to its original location.


If your reservation was confirmed directly with Broadmoor, please contact us to cancel your reservation. We do not charge a cancellation fee, but we do request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.
If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame. Cancellation of a reservation directly thru Broadmoor when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

Reservations will be honored for a period of two hours after the confirmed pick up date and time, limited to normal business hours.


Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges. Renter authorizes the company to assess refueling charges and process the corresponding payments. Fuel is available to purchase in advance to avoid refueling charges. Call ahead or ask at the counter for pricing.


In case of an emergency, such as an accident, follow the instructions on the documentation in the glove box of your rental vehicle. In case of another type of breakdown, call our office at 616-698-9595 for roadside assistance to be arranged. Outside normal business hours, 616-466-8666.


Child seats are available for rent at $7.00 per day. Call in advance to confirm model size availability for your child. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will be applied.

GPS units are available for rent at $8.99 per day. Call in advance to confirm availability.

Other equipment may be available at time of rental. If you have any other requirements, please feel free to call in advance so that we can accommodate your needs.


Rental vehicles may not travel into Mexico. Rental vehicles may travel into Canada.


Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, license, and major credit card. An additional driver charge of $8.00 per day per additional driver applies.


Rental Requirements – All renters and drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply – A valid drivers license -accompanied by proof of insurance, current home address -not P.O.Box, and a current phone number, along with any other documentation required for the chosen form of payment.

Early / Late Return – Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to a higher daily and/or weekly charge as follows -Late return: The rate will increase by $10.00 per day for the extension period only. Early return: The rate will increase by $10.00 per day not to exceed the original total amount of rental.

Extensions – To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. If vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement/contract, the rate will increase by $10.00 per day. The increased rate will be charged for each day after due return date, until the vehicle is returned.

Length of Rental – agreements/contract cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement/contract. The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace period – A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement/contract at the time of rental. There is a 59 minute grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.


Upon vehicle pickup, all drivers must present a valid US, Canadian, or International Drivers License.
